STEP 1- Review your course request letter given to you by your 1st period teacher.
STEP 2- Add/Drop any classes you wish to change. Make sure that you have 7 periods worth of classes. STEP 3- Select 3 Alternate Electives. STEP 4- Talk with each of your core content teachers about recommendations for placement in Advanced courses each period. STEP 5- Turn in your completed Course Selection Letter to your 8th period teacher at the end of the day

FAQs
Will I have an opportunity to make any additional changes this Spring?
Yes! After completing your registration, a letter will be sent home in March for you and your parents to review your course selections. If you wish to make additional changes you will be able to submit them on that letter by the April 1st Campus Deadline.
Will I be able to make changes when I return to school in August of 2022?
No elective changes are available upon return to school in August. You need to make sure that your course selections are completed prior to the April 1st Campus Deadline.
Why do I have to pick alternates?
At times, you may have a course conflict occur where an original request cannot be fulfilled. Alternate choices allow the counselor to fill the spot in your schedule with your second choice course. If you don't provide these, the counselor will fill the spot with a course where there are available seats (which may or may not be a course you are interested in)
What courses can fulfill my Health credit?
Health (Course #5010) or Principles of Health Science (Course # 8352). Principles of Health Science is only available to students signed up for the Health Science Program of Study.
What should I do if I want to change my endorsement?
You need to contact your counselor to discuss if you have time to complete a different program of study and review what options are available to you.
Can I take summer classes to get ahead on my graduation requirements?
These requests are reviewed on a case by case basis. You need to contact your counselor to set up an appointment to discuss your individual circumstances.
Summer school information (courses, dates, time, location, format) typically release in mid-April and registration typically takes place May-June each year.

In order to earn credit at the high school level, students must earn a grade of 70% or higher and be in compliance with Texas state attendance laws (90% rule). |
