|
Animation is not only about bringing artwork to life. Students learn how to storyboard, plan, use a graphic drawing tablet and Adobe Animate in the Animation courses preparing them for a host of careers and fields in the digital world.

Clark automotive technology offers students a look into how vehicles operate, how and what is required to properly maintain & repair vehicles, and how the automotive industry operates.

Career Preparation (Co-Op)
Earn 3 credits as a junior/senior, while developing real world work experiences/skills and earning money!
Students spend one hour in class each day and must be employed for a minimum of 15 hours on the job each week. Some of the areas of employment include: retail, child care, food service, and hotel and hospitality services.
Career Prep can be the capstone course for most Career and Technical Education endorsements and used in place of the Practicum Course.

Construction Science
The Carpentry program of study explores the occupations and educational opportunities related to constructing, installing, or repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, such as concrete forms (including frameworks, partitions, joists, studding, rafters, and stairways). This program of study may also Include exploration into installing, dismantling, or moving machinery and heavy equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, or other drawings.

Culinary Arts

This Program of Study begins with Introduction to Culinary Arts. The course will provide insight into the operation of a well run restaurant and food production skills. Next is Culinary Arts. This course teaches the fundamentals and principles of the art of cooking, the science of baking, and management and production skills and techniques. Then it’s time to proceed to Advanced Culinary Arts. It will enhance skills by in-depth instruction of industry-driven standards. The final course is Practicum in Culinary Arts where students learn employability skills delivered through school-based laboratory training or through work-based arrangements.

Manufacturing (Welding)
The Welding program prepares students to work in an industry that offers opportunities in manufacturing shops, maintenance shops, steel construction sites, ship-building, and ranch related welding. Students gain extensive skills through shop activities on industrial welding equipment such as SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, and Oxy-Fuel. In this course you can be a Fitter/Welder, Welder, and Welder Helper

Photography

Commercial photography is only one of the many disciplines of professional photography. This course of study develops students’ skills and knowledge in commercial photography projects. Students will also develop the knowledge and skills necessary to analyze customer needs and preferences, apply the principles of art to photographs, and develop photographs using a variety of production processes.

Public Speaking

Debate and Oral Interpretation (Oral Interp) are both exciting opportunities to engage with current events and important issues. By taking Debate 1 or Oral Interp 1, you will be able to join Clark’s speech and debate team that competes against students from around the city and state. Both courses offer tracks to continue in the program for up to four years.

Robotics

Students who stay in this strand of courses over 4 years will learn about the engineering profession, the business of manufacturing, and robotics. Each class spends lots of time doing hands on projects, using a 3D printer, building and programming robots, etc.

Web Development
This is a new course that has combined computer programming and video game design together into one course. This course is designed to learn the basics of web design. We will be learning programs to help with web design, along with learning HTML, Python, Java and CSS.
